This concert took place in 1964 at the Washington Coliseum, also known as the U-Line Arena in Washington, D.C. Many concerts and sporting events were held there until 1986, when for a brief time it was a church. Then in 1994 it was converted to an indoor trash dump for a waste company(!) Today it is just a dark, decaying empty shell, and the interior is very ghostly in appearance. You can see what it looks like today by finding the video posted by “franzjantzen” on 2/12/08.

listen between 2:15 and 2:20 for ringos snare drum beat, personnally i think ringos not the best drummer in the world, but he can play, and that beat shows he can
Unbelievably, I saw this concert. Went with a group of girl-friends. I was 12. My parents took us to the Coliseum, dropped is off and picked us up.
We swore to each other we wouldn’t scream like all the other “silly girls.”
But the moment they came on stage we were up out of our seats, screaming and screaming. It was such fun.
Afterwards one of my friends touched the handle of the limousine right after Ringo got in! His hand had been on the door handle right before she touched it.!
that screaming was just too silly—–it was considered almost ubiquitous at any Beatles’ show or appearance
amen martin!tell it like it is!
