After Obama slips up during an address on health care, White House officials are forced to admit the president occasionally uses a backing track for important speeches.

It looked more like a presidential debate from the 2008 Campaign than a bipartisan health care summit, as former rivals Sen. John mccain (R-Ariz.) and President Obama, who bluntly told mccain “the campiagn’s over”.

To kick off the bipartisan health reform meeting, President Obama lays out the plan for the day and his hopes for what can be accomplished. He talks about where we’re at now and why this meeting is so necessary: President Obama explains, “Politics, I think, ended up trumping practical common sense. Webster Tarpley wrote a book on the men and women behind presidential hopeful Barack Obama. He argues that there is more to Obama than his charismatic appearance and that some of his advisors pose a danger to the US and the world in case Obama might be elected to become the next US president. Whether Tarpleys view is correct for now is a matter of opinion and remains to be seen, but for the public debate it is relevant to take note of his facts and arguments. Therefor deepjournal interviewed Webster Tarpley on the topic of his recently published book Obama, The Postmodern Coup,The Making of a Manchurian Candidate.

Stephanopoulos takes issue with a mandate that obligates Americans to purchase health insurance, or risk being fined as much as 0. “How is that not a tax?” “A responsibility to get health insurance is not a tax increase,” Obama said. Stephanopoulos then tells Obama that he looked up the definition of “tax” in Merriam Webster’s dictionary. “The fact that you looked …
